Using this site means accepting the terms below. They're written to be readable rather than exhaustive, and the substance is simple: the material here is general information, the directory is a signpost rather than a recommendation, and neither replaces your own checks.

Last updated: 27 August 2026

Key points

  • Everything here is general information, not professional, legal, regulatory or safety advice for your specific situation.
  • A listing in the directory is not a recommendation, endorsement, or a check that a manufacturer is suitable for your work.
  • Regulatory summaries are written to be accurate at the time of writing, but regulation changes — always check the primary source before relying on it.
  • Listing is free and neither inclusion nor position in the directory is ever for sale.

Who Runs This Site

Chemical Connections is published by Livetech Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 09335110, with offices at 16 Trinity Square, Llandudno LL30 2RB and 4 Chantry Court, Chester CH1 4QN. Contact: [email protected].

Information, Not Advice

The guidance, process descriptions, regulatory summaries and glossary entries on this site are general background about how contract chemical manufacturing works in the UK. They aren't legal advice, regulatory advice, safety advice, or engineering or process advice for any specific product, formulation or site, and they can't take account of your circumstances. Decisions about regulatory compliance, hazardous materials, process safety or commercial contracts should be taken with appropriately qualified professional input.

Chemical manufacturing is a regulated activity where getting things wrong carries real safety and legal consequences. Nothing here should be treated as a substitute for the relevant regulator's own guidance, the applicable legislation, or a competent person's assessment.

Accuracy and Currency

Content is researched and written to be accurate at the time of publication, with claims checked against primary or authoritative sources rather than assumed. Regulation moves, though — deadlines shift, thresholds change, guidance is reissued — and pages are not continuously monitored. Where a page describes a legal requirement, check the current position at legislation.gov.uk, the HSE, or the relevant regulator before acting on it.

The Manufacturer Directory

The directory is a finding aid. It exists so that UK manufacturing capability which is otherwise hard to discover can be found and compared. It is not a vetting service, an approved-supplier list, or an accreditation scheme.

  • A listing is not an endorsement. We don't rank, rate or recommend individual manufacturers, and inclusion says nothing about whether a manufacturer is suitable for your particular product or process.
  • Listing information comes from the manufacturers and their own published material. Capabilities, certifications, capacities and contact details are as stated by the company or drawn from publicly available sources at the date noted. We don't independently audit or inspect any manufacturer's site, quality systems, certifications or capacity.
  • Certifications and licences should be verified directly. Where a listing mentions ISO certification, COMAH status, GMP or similar, treat it as a starting point and ask the manufacturer for current certificates before you rely on it.
  • Do your own due diligence. Before committing work to any manufacturer, carry out your own checks — site visits, quality audits, references, financial checks and a written contract as appropriate. Our questions to ask a prospective manufacturer and how to choose a manufacturer pages are a place to start, not a substitute for that work.
  • Any dealings are between you and the manufacturer. We are not a party to, agent for, or broker of any resulting arrangement, and take no commission on it.

Listings and Their Accuracy

Manufacturers can claim their listing and maintain it themselves, which is the best route to accuracy. If you're a manufacturer and a listing about your business is wrong, incomplete or unwanted, email [email protected] from a company address and we'll correct or remove it. We'd rather have fewer accurate listings than more inaccurate ones. See report a listing for how this works in practice — we aim to acknowledge every report within one working day, and removals are unconditional.

Listing is free. Inclusion in the directory, and position within it, are never for sale — there is no paid placement, no sponsored ranking and no fee to appear.

Commercial Interest, Stated Plainly

Livetech is a digital marketing agency and works with manufacturing businesses on other services, so some manufacturers who use this site may become clients elsewhere. We'd rather say so than not. It doesn't change how the directory works, and the about page sets out the reasoning in full.

This site links to manufacturers' websites, legislation, regulators and trade bodies. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content, accuracy or availability. A link isn't an endorsement of the organisation behind it.

Liability

The site is provided on an "as is" basis. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for any loss arising from reliance on information published here or on any listing, and for any loss arising from dealings with a manufacturer found through this site. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

We don't guarantee that the site will be available uninterrupted or free of errors.

We may update these terms as the site develops. The current version is always the one on this page, with the date shown above.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does a listing here mean a manufacturer has been vetted?

No. The directory is a finding aid, not an approval scheme. Listing information reflects what manufacturers and their published material state; verify certifications and capabilities directly before relying on them.

Can a manufacturer pay to rank higher?

No. There's no paid placement or sponsored positioning. Listing is free and inclusion is never for sale.

Can I use content from this site on my own website?

Quoting with attribution and a link is fine. Republishing pages wholesale isn't — email us if you'd like to discuss wider use.
